COTABATO CITY: The barely over two-year-old Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) recorded close to P4.5 billion worth of investment in 2019, which amount was 80 percent higher by P2.5 billion compared to that in 2018, according to a top regional official.

In a recent year-end report, Shamera Abobakar, Regional Board of Investment (RBOI) senior investment specialist, said for 2019, the RBOI registered five major BARMM investment projects, which was topped by Lamitan Agri-Business Corp. (Labco) engaged in Cavendish banana-raising worth P1.8 billion in Lamitan City, Basilan.
