Emiliano Sala — Argentine football star forward Sala was on board a Piper PA-46 Malibu light aircraft en route from Nantes, France to Cardiff, Wales when it crashed in the English Channel On Jan. 21, 2019. 29-year-old Sala was traveling to join his new club, Cardiff City, who days earlier had signed him to a record £15 million contract.
