Senator Pangilinan: Not a shareholder of MPIC

I WOULD like to correct erroneous information appearing in a column today (“Be careful with ‘review’ of LRTA contract,” Rough Trade, Ben Kritz, The Manila Times, Jan. 21, 2020) that identified me as a shareholder of the Metro Pacific Investment Corp. (MPIC). (https://www.manilatimes.net/2020/01/21/business/columnists-business/be-careful-with-review-of-lrta-contract/676162/)

I am not a shareholder of the company or in any way connected to it.

Imputations in the said piece that I have made “fantastic amounts of money,” being supposedly part of the company, are not true.

We hope the public will be made aware of the factual error.

Sen. Francis N. Pangilinan
