The House of Representatives' Committee on Population and Family Relations approved in principle the bills instituting divorce in the country.
"Pursuant to Section 48 of Rule 10 of the House rules, I respectfully move that we approve the pending bills on divorce for consolidation by a technical working group, taking into consideration the inputs and lectures we had this morning from the resource persons," Albay 1st District Rep. Edcel Lagman said in the committee's deliberations on Wednesday.
