The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) is expecting lower tax collections from large taxpayers next month as the Taal Volcano eruption and coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) outbreak hurt businesses.
In an interview late last week, BIR Deputy Commissioner Arnel Guballa told reporters that most of the large taxpayers are informing the agency that their voluntary payments for this month will not be as a good as what they remitted in the previous months.
