LOURDES School of Mandaluyong, a catholic exclusive school for boys and administered by Capuchin friars, celebrates this year its 60th foundation anniversary.

LSM is a fruit of the missionary zeal of Capuchin friars who came to the Philippines at the turn of the 20th century and served to preserve the Catholic heritage of the Filipino people in the wake of the Philippine Revolt against Spain. The Capuchins inculturated themselves in the Philippine context, helped nurture the identity and faith of the young Republic, and fostered the Filipinos’ filial love for Our Lady of Lourdes. The Capuchin Order has produced for the Church an army of saints and blesseds, among whom are St. Pio of Pietrelcina, St.Leopold Mandie, BI.Solanus Casey, and BI. JoseMaria de Manila. Lourdes School of Mandaluyong passes on to her sons the Capuchin values and virtues of these heroes of Faith.
