Citi PH and iMoney celebrate API partnership, benefitting 10,000 customers and counting

Citi and iMoney commemorate their application program interface or API partnership, which enables seamless online application for Citi credit cards from the iMoney Philippines website to the Citibank website.

Since launching in the first quarter of 2019, over 10,000 consumers have completed the online journey to apply for a Citi credit card product from iMoney’s website.

“Citi has been a long-term partner since 2015 and we have enjoyed great synergy throughout the years. This technology-based collaboration is a natural next step in growing our partnership and continuing to drive a better customer experience for our digital-first customers by providing them with the tools to research, apply for and obtain financial products. Our vision is to empower consumers to make intelligent decisions on money matters and we will continue to roll out similar initiatives in the future,” said Mitul Lakhani, group chief executive officer of iMoney.

Citi Philippines Cards and Loans Director Mukul Sukhani said, “With this API partnership, we are witnessing the wave of the future. Customers can quickly access information on Citi’s wide range of financial products and conveniently apply for Citi credit cards.”

To date, iMoney is the first company to partner with Citi on this digital initiative.

Built with consumers in mind, the online form on iMoney’s site uses leading-edge technology and security to turn the traditional process of credit card application into a simple digital experience with benefits including: an end-to-end online application form with submission of supporting documents and no human intervention to make the process simple, fast and convenient; and immediate qualification status and in-principle approval for those who are qualified
