The operator of Philippine Airlines (PAL) can potentially cushion the adverse impact of travel bans due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) outbreak with its recent authorized capital stock hike.

PAL Holdings Inc. announced last week it approved the increase of its capital stock to P30 billion from P13 billion, amending its articles of incorporation to do so.
