The military on Sunday maintained its no-ransom policy in wake of reports spreading that the terrorist Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) was demanding a P30-million ransom in exchange for the release of five Indonesian kidnap victims.

Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, the military’s Western Mindanao Command (WesMinCom) chief, however, said they are yet to confirm whether there was truth behind the reports.
