THE government and the private sector should be able to prepare effective contingency plans for disasters and crises to ensure business continuity and immediate recovery, an official of the Department of Tourism (DoT) said.

This was brought up as the tourism sector has been paralyzed since coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) outbreak following the travel ban from virus-infected countries, DoT Undersecretary Alma Rita Jimenez said in a forum in Pasay on Monday.
