A.P. Moller - Maersk said lingering fears over the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) outbreak has increased uncertainties in the global shipping industry and reduced its positive outlook for this year.

A.P. Moller Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Soren Skou said the outlook ahead is low economic growth and low demand growth for seaborne goods, thus the need to plan accordingly and maintain flat capacity to support utilization and low cost.
