The country’s stocks slipped to a new low on Friday as global markets slumped over the worsening coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) outbreak.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) slid by 2.58 percent or 179.93 points to finish at 6,787.91, while the wider All Shares plunged 2.06 percent (85.35 points) to end at 4,606.32.
