PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte agreed to declare a state of public health emergency amid the continuing spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), Sen. Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go said on Saturday.
The Palace response came after the Department of Health (DoH) raised the alert level to “Code Red” after the country recorded its first local transmission of the virus and confirmed a sixth case.
