There is no evidence that cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) taper off during summer because of the heat, the World Health Organization (WHO) representative to the Philippines said Monday.
"We are seeing continuing transmission in very tropical countries like Singapore, Malaysia. And so the evidence we have at this point in time is not supportive", Rabindra Abeyasinghe said during a press briefing.
