THE Department of Agriculture (DA) is proposing “food lanes” for delivering agri-fishery commodities to Metro Manila in a bid to contain the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) outbreak.

In a press briefing on Monday, Agriculture Secretary William Dar said the department finalized its proposal on the establishment of food lanes in which accredited vehicles transporting agricultural commodities are spared from the traffic buildup at various checkpoints around the country.
