PCCI to govt: Aid businesses amid outbreak

The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) has urged the government to provide relief to industries and enterprises to mitigate the economic impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) outbreak in the country.

In a statement of Wednesday, the business group appealed to the government “to approve and implement…measures [that would] allow affected firms and households to cope with the adverse effects of Covid-19 and the fallout from countermeasures enforced by the national and local governments to curb its…spread.”
