LGUs need more Covid-19 test kits

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: With more residents considered as persons under investigation (PUIs), local government units are appealing to the national government and the private sector for more test kits to arrest the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

In Cagayan de Oro, Dr. Adriano Subaan, Northern Mindanao regional director of the Department of Health (DoH), said the lack of test kits hindered action on 58 PUIs at the government-owned Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) who manifest moderate to severe symptoms.
