MALACAÑAN on Friday urged Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founder Jose Ma. Sison to show his patriotism and work for peace amid the government's fight to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in the country.

Palace spokesman Salvador Panelo made the statement after he slammed Sison for calling President Rodrigo Duterte's unilateral ceasefire declaration "premature, insincere and false."
