A call is gaining ground in the Senate for a special congressional session to tackle measures for a supplemental budget for the government’s fight against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Sen. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go said the legislative branch was “ready to do what we can to help especially through much needed legislative action such as appropriating necessary funds” to cushion the impact of Covid-19 on the people and on the economy.
