It isn’t just new car prices that are getting higher every year — a lot of older cars are seeing their value steadily increasing. Over the past 10 years, 1980s-era cars like the Toyota AE86, BMW e30 M3, and a few ‘90s cars like the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution have gone from somewhat affordable to completely out of reach for all but the very wealthy. For the budding car collector, however, there is still hope: a new generation of future classics has emerged (mostly from the 1990s and early 2000s), and there may still be time to find a collectible car at a reasonable price.
