The investing public and real estate industry movers have more reasons to rejoice with the issuance of the revised implementing rules and regulations (IRR) of the “Real Estate Investment Trust Act of 2009” (REIT Law) early this year. While the law was passed way back in 2009, the benefits sought to be unlocked by the law were not fully tapped by market players due to the tight legal and regulatory requirements the law and the rules provided at that time.
