SEN. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go on Sunday urged the Departments of Health (DoH) and Budget and Management (DBM) to properly compensate volunteer health workers who help doctors and nurses fight the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.
Go made the appeal after the DoH released on March 27 a call for “doctors, nurses, nurse assistants [and] hospital orderlies able, healthy and willing to commit to work in the fight against Covid-19.”
