Lawmakers call for more Covid test kits

At least four members of the House of Representatives called on the government to immediately work on acquiring more test kits and medical supplies as coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases continue to rise.

Albay First District Rep. Edcel Lagman said the “valiant efforts of the Philippine health authorities, private health facilities, healthcare frontliners and local government officials against the Covid-19 pandemic must be immediately complemented with more test kits, supplies and equipment to reduce the country’s mortality rate which is at a high of 6.32 percent.”
