FORMER Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 or Covid-19 but assured the public that he has followed government-issued health protocols.
Marcos had himself tested at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) on March 14, a day after he arrived from Spain, which has one of the highest number of Covid cases and deaths in Europe, according to a statement released to Senate reporters by his lawyer Victor Rodriguez, through Honey Rose Mercado, the senator’s former spokesman. The results were released on March 28.
