TWENTY nine new deaths due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) were recorded on Friday, bringing the count to 136 from 107, as cases breached 3,000 , the Department of Health (DoH) said.
Dr. Beverly Ho, special assistant to Health Secretary Francisco Duque 3rd, said that the surge in the number of deaths may be attributed to "the late reporting of previous deaths”.
