A majority of the members of President Rodrigo Duterte’s cabinet have volunteered to donate their monthly salary to help the government's efforts in fighting the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic, a Palace official said on Saturday.
In a virtual press briefing, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Alexei Nograles said that Cabinet members even promised to reduce their salaries until December or while the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act or Republic Act (RA) 11469 was in effect.
