All officials of the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) serve at the pleasure of the President Rodrigo Duterte, its spokesman said, after the Chief Executive fired one of its commissioners for calling for a probe of Vice President Maria Leonor "Leni" Robredo for supposedly “competing” with the national government’s efforts to combat the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.

"We work at the pleasure of the President and for the interest of the Filipino people…. Even in the state of a lockdown, the government is still hard at work. The President is watching and wants nothing but the best for the Filipino people," PACC Commissioner Greco Belgica said in a statement.
