Among the many adjustments those of us lucky enough to still be employed have had to make while the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic rampages across the globe is a sudden change in our normal work routines. Unless we are employed in a vital business where our physical presence is absolutely necessary, we are all working from home, or “WFH,” as the young people say.

Our experience here in the Philippines is similar to that of workers all around the world, and in the three weeks since we were all invited to participate in the government’s “enhanced community quarantine” program, literally hundreds of articles have appeared in my business news feed, promising advice on how to work from home more comfortably and efficiently.
