Dear PAO,

My aunt secured the services of a lawyer in September 2018 for the execution of a deed relating to the property that she bought as well as the transfer of that property under her name. She paid the lawyer P70,000, which covers all the charges and taxes for the transfer and includes his fee as well. She followed up in September 2019 but nothing had been done. She gave him until December 2019 to which the lawyer promised to make good of his obligations but to no avail. My aunt asked to get the money and documents back, but the lawyer seemed to be avoiding her. If he really fails to return the money and documents, is there any violation on the part of the lawyer, and can he be complained?
