The title of my article is about the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) and its gutsy objective to stand the ground at all cost. I have said much about this institution transformed through the years from a blood-letting institution that metamorphosed into a behemoth humanitarian infrastructure.

At the helm is the tireless mean machine we know as the former mayor of Olongapo City and chairman and administrator of an idea he concocted that we now know as the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority or SBMA. Of course the name is Richard “Dick” Gordon, PRC chairman and a Philippine senator.
