The Independent Member Federation Sanctions Panel (IMFSP) has banned the Thailand and Malaysian weightlifting federations from participating in the forthcoming Olympics 2020 (also known as Olympics 2021).
IMFSP, which was approved by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF), has the sole authority to impose sanctions, in line with the IWF anti-doping policy. In addition, Thailand's membership shall be suspended for three years, while Malaysia’s membership for the next 12 months.
