THE government’s fiscal position reverted to a deficit in February from the previous month, but the gap narrowed from a year ago as state spending dropped, data from the Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) showed.
February’s P37.6-billion shortfall was a turnaround of the P23.04-billion surplus the previous month and is smaller than P76.4-billion deficit a year earlier.
