CABANATUAN CITY: Two persons died and three others recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 in Nueva Ecija. The province’s inter-agency taskforce on Sunday reported 122 out of 157 persons under investigations (PUIs) were found negative as per their swab test results. The Department of Health-Nueva said the latest recoveries were a 29-year-old male from the village of San Nicolas in Gapan City, who had undergone two swab tests; a 19-year-old from Platero; and a 45-year-old from Bangad in Cabanatuan City. Confirmed cases in the province rose to 27, according to Nueva Ecija Gov. Aurelio Umali. The provincial taskforce revealed its plan to convert schools as PUI quarantine facilities.
