ZAMBOANGA CITY – Gunmen shot dead a former vice mayor of Tipo-Tipo town in a daring attack in Isabela City in the southern Philippine province of Basilan.
Musiddik Mande, who ran and lost in last year’s midterm elections, was murdered at dusk on Tuesday while on his way home in Sumagdang village. The assailants escaped after the killing.
