SOCIAL media giant Facebook heeded the call of the Philippine government to reduce its traffic both on its platform and its wholly owned photo and video-sharing app Instagram during the enhanced community quarantine.
In a statement, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) said on Thursday Facebook Philippines agreed to temporarily cut its bit rates for videos to ensure internet stability in the country.
