Extending the unilateral ceasefire with communist rebels is a matter that the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict can discuss with President Rodrigo Duterte, Malacañang said on Sunday.
The ceasefire ended on April 15, and the government must decide whether it will be extended after the Communist Party of the Philippines’s (CPP) directed the New People’s Army (NPA) and other rebel units to extend their own truce to April 30.
