Seafarers whose manning agencies are members of the Associated Marine Officers and Seafarers’ Union of the Philippines (AMOSUP) can now file their retirement fund claim as part of the union’s financial assistance to their member seafarers who are affected by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
According to Camille Simbulan, special projects and communications head of AMOSUP, seafarers currently at the Sailor’s Home in Manila have started filing their claims.
