Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala is chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Ayala Corp. (AC). He and his brother Fernando, the conglomerate’s president and chief operating officer, are included in AC’s five highest-paid executives. The others are Solomon Hermosura, managing director, chief legal officer, corporate secretary, chief compliance officer, data protection officer and corporate governance group head; Jose Teodoro Limcaoco, senior managing director, chief finance officer, chief risk officer, chief sustainability officer and finance group head; and John Philip Orbeta, managing director, chief human resources officer and corporate resources group head.
In a compensation filing, AC said it paid the Zobel brothers and the other three, as a group, an annual salary of P303.98 million and annual bonus of P243.29 million in 2018; and an annual salary of P334.69 million, annual bonus of P280.07 million, and other annual pays and perks worth P21.7 million in 2019. The holding company said it would pay them an annual salary of P358.12 million and annual bonus of P305.36 million in 2020.
