SHARIFF AGUAK, Maguindanao: Two soldiers from the 57th Infantry Battalion (57th IB) of the Philippine Army were killed and another was wounded while being deployed for implementation of the general community quarantine (GCQ) in Barangay Talibadok, Datu Hoffer, Maguindanao.

Maj. Arvin Encinas, spokesman for the Western Mindanao Command (WestMinCom), on Tuesday said the 57th IB troops had been sent to support the Inter-Agency Task Force in enforcing the GCQ in the area when they were fired at by the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) on Sunday night.
