As the global community continues its fight to flatten the curve on the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic and neighboring ASEAN countries aggressively fight a second wave of Covid-19, the local auto industry braces itself for a much-needed shot in the arm as select dealers were allowed to operate last May 4, service the community and curb financial losses.

In a statement from AC Industrials, whose brands include Volkswagen, KTM, Maxus, Honda, Isuzu and Kia dealers, have resumed operations in areas identified by the government falling under the “relaxed” general community quarantine or GCQ. Ford PH, Nissan PH and Toyota PH dealers have followed suit to meet the service and repair requirements of their patrons in the allowed areas of operations.
