Universal Storefront Services Corp. (USSC), one of the country’s leading non-bank financial service store networks, was appointed the exclusive remittance center for the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) by Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) as part of the agency’s Covid-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP). CAMP provides for a one-time financial assistance of P5,000 to workers of private firms affected by the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ). To date, a total of 10,238 families have been served amounting to P51,190,000, which constitutes 92 percent of the target disbursements in CAR.
USSC offers a quick turnaround time and can execute the sendouts within 24 hours upon receiving the funds from DoLE. To ensure safe transactions, USSC sends out a personalized SMS and notifies the recipient that the remittance is ready to be claimed. Status reports are generated daily to guard against remittance issues.
