DEPARTMENT of Justice (DoJ) Undersecretary Mark Perete disclosed on Friday that 117 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) were confirmed positive with the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) at the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).
The Justice undersecretary said that of the total number, 40 were from the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) while 77 were from the Correctional Institute for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong.
