THE Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Monday said that 23 barangay officials were facing criminal charges over alleged anomalies in the distribution of cash under the Social Amelioration Program (SAP).
Interior Secretary Eduardo Año said the Philippine National Police-Criminal Invesrigation Group (PNP-CIDG) filed 12 criminal cases against the 23 barangay officials before the the Department of Justice.
