OVER 20 million families will receive aid from the government, Malacañang said on Monday.

In a briefing, Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque said that the beneficiaries would include 4.9 million who were left out in the initial fund distribution.

Roque said that “ito po ‘yung sabi – na bigyan – ng Presidente dahil hindi nabigyan ang lahat sa first tranche. Ibibigay na po natin iyan ngayon, kasabay ng second tranche.”

He added that the government would give small business wage subsidy to 3.4 million people.

“At, siyempre po, ‘yung mga naninirahan sa ECQ na bibigyan pa rin natin ng SAP” which, he said, was about 12 million.

ECQ is enhanced community quarantine. SAP is Social Amelioration Program.

In the briefing, Roque said that the small business wage subsidy meant for employees of small and medium enterprises “is not intended as SAP”.
