SENATORS Maria Josefa Imelda “Imee” Marcos and Panfilo Lacson Sr. on Sunday urged economic managers to lure American businessmen leaving China to include the Philippines in their relocation plan.

Marcos cited recent news that the United States was transferring a number of its China-based factories to Indonesia. She said this confirmed “a growing economic trend favoring Southeast Asian countries as alternative sites for manufacturing.”
