COTABATO CITY: The Eid al-Fitr congregation prayer that culminates the 30-day fasting month of the Ramadan will no longer be done at masjids (mosques) this year because of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) threat, Bangsamoro Grand Mufti (Jurisconsult) Abu Huraira Udasan said on Saturday.

The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and Muslims throughout the Philippines are set to forego the congregation prayers at the mosques early on Sunday, May 24, but conduct them in the safety of their homes.
