The stock market opened the trading week in the red on Tuesday as the economic fallout from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic and the risks it keeps posing to people continue to rattle investors.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) dipped by 0.77 percent, or 42.36 points, to end at 5,496.83 while the broader All Shares slipped by 1.10 percent, or 36.96 points, to close at 3,313.02.
