As Cebu underwent rapid industrialization in the 1990s, CIPDI started building the West Cebu Industrial Park (WCIP) in Balamban for ship-building and allied activities, which is considered its premier project. In time, WCIP helped Balamban attain first-class municipality status, boosting the skills and productivity of the residents while also providing environmental and outreach assistance.
