TARLAC: The province is now using an application called QTracker which traces the movement of persons in home quarantine through Global Positioning System (GPS) as part of the provincial government’s action plan in containing the spread of coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

The application is being used by the Provincial Covid-19 Task Force for the trace, test, and treat approach that will compliment efforts and strategy in reducing the risk of contracting the virus. QTracker updates the location of person at home every two to three minutes through the GPS through mobile phones. “Through this, we could easily know if the person violated home quarantine and we could easily conduct contact tracing to prevent the disease from further Spreading,” Gov. Susan Yap said.
