A NATIONAL treasure and one of the world’s largest avian predator, named “Pangarap,” is receiving honors as the country celebrates Philippine Eagle Week this June from a renewable energy firm that also recognizes the many efforts to preserve the critically endangered species.

Pangarap, who serves as a beacon of hope for the conservation of the Philippine bird of prey, was adopted and sponsored by Aboitiz Power Corp. (AboitizPower) for the past 10 years. She is one of the few females left of her species eligible for breeding, now through artificial insemination.
